    Product Details

A flange, also known as a flanged disc or flange lug, is a component used to connect shafts to each other and to join pipe ends. Flanges are also employed at the inlets and outlets of equipment, serving as connections between two pieces of equipment—for example, the flange of a gearbox. A flanged connection or flange joint refers to a detachable connection consisting of three components—a flange, a gasket, and bolts—that work together as a sealed assembly. Pipe flanges refer specifically to flanges used for piping systems, while flanges installed on equipment refer to the inlet and outlet flanges of that equipment. Flanges are equipped with bolt holes, and bolts are used to securely fasten two flanges together. Sealing between flanges is achieved using gaskets. Flanges can be categorized into threaded (screwed) flanges, welded flanges, and clamp-type flanges. Flanges are always used in pairs.
